Haweswater

Haweswater reservoir in the Lake District during a dry spell, when the previously submerged village of Mardale Green became visible again. This was from the Old Corpse Road, where they used to carry the dead to Swindale Head for burial, in the days before they were allowed to have a cemetery at the Holy Trinity Church in Mardale Green.
