Benro are well known for innovative mid-priced tripods & this model is an excellent example.  The 4-section legs are carbon fibre with twist-locks.  When locking or unlocking the legs, the tubes do not rotate, making life a little easier.  The top casting is magnesium alloy keeping weight down to just over 1kg, which is very respectable considering it's rated load capacity.  With my geared head, camera & heaviest lens mounted & backpack hanging underneath, the whole assembly feels very solid, although it can require some careful consideration when setting up due to the offset centre leg, something you quickly get used to.

One of the attractions of this design which sets it apart from others is it's fold-flat ability.  It makes it much easier to carry on the side of a backpack, which is how I carry mine 95% of the time.

Note also the blue ring around the top of one leg.  This leg can be unscrewed & used as a monopod.  The one thing missing though, is somewhere to hang my backpack (I have since made a modification to mine, so it now has a small hook fitted to top casting).  It comes with a short centre column which screws directly to the top platform if required & gives a handy amount of vertical adjustment.  I never use this as it's not necessary for my work & has the potential to reduces stability.
